If you are the project owner, you can copy an entire project set-up, with all variables, groups, forms, dependencies, statuses, status permissions, series, and project roles, or choose to copy some of the elements into a new project. Copying a project only implies copying the design of the project. None of the entered data in the project is copied. Only the project owner can copy the project set-up.
- On the dashboard, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the project card of the project you want to copy
- Choose "Copy project" from the dropdown menu
- Give your new project a name and fill out the rest of the project information (optional)
- By default, the project owner for the original and copied project is the same.
- If you want to change this, click “Change owner”
- Write the email address of the new owner of your copied project and press enter
- Click "Continue"
- Confirm the ownership of the copied project by checking the box next to the user’s name
- Click “Confirm”
- Under "Include", check the boxes of the elements you want to copy to your new project
- Variables: All project variables will be copied to the new project
- Groups: All project variable groups will be copied to the new project. Variables will by default be copied when checked.
- Forms: All project forms will be copied to the new project. Variables, groups, and series will by default, be copied when checked.
- Dependencies: All dependencies will be copied to the new project. Variables, groups, and series will, by default, be copied when checked.
- Statuses: All project statuses will be copied to the new project. Variables, groups, and series will, by default, be copied when checked.
- Status permissions: Status permissions for the project owner are copied to the new project. Variables, groups, and series will by default, be copied when checked.
- Series: All project series will be copied to the new project. Variables and groups will, by default be copied when checked.
- Click "Copy project"
