- Open the project you want to create a template from
- Go to "Project design" and select "Templates"
- The next steps will depend on whether you want to make a template that includes all the variables in the project or if you want to make a template with a selection of the variables
Make a template from all variables
- Click on the three dots next to the "Variables and groups" heading and select "Make a template from all"
- The template is shown under the "Templates" heading
- Give your template a name by entering it into the template’s card
- Click on the arrow left of the template’s name to see the content of the template
- You can add a description of your template under the tab "Description"
- The variables and variable groups can be reordered by dragging and dropping
- By clicking on the variable card, you can see the variable details and make certain changes.
- IMPORTANT: Before you leave the project, you must save your template. Click on the three dots in the template’s card upper right corner and select "Save"
Make a template of selected variables
- Click "+ New template" ("Create your first template" if this is the first template in your account)
- Give your template a name by entering it into the template’s card
- Click on the arrow to the left of the template name to open the dropzone
- Drag and drop the variables or variable groups you want to include in your template from the variable list into the dropzone
- You can reorder the variables and groups within the template’s card
- By clicking on the variable card, you can see the variable details and make certain changes.
- You can add a description of your template under the "Description" tab
- IMPORTANT: Before you leave the project, you must save your template. Click on the three dots in the template’s card upper right corner and select "Save"
