This function allows you to combine two datasets with the same entries and additional data (i.e. adding columns (variables) to your dataset).
Open the project to which you want to add data by clicking the project card on the dashboard.
Click the three dots on the right side of the screen and select "Import dataset" from the dropdown menu.
Select the option “Add more variables to existing entries.”
Drag and drop or browse for the file containing the data you would like to add to the original dataset.
In the next step, you are asked to match the file column with an existing variable. For most users, this will be the variable that is the unique identifier in your dataset (for example, the patient ID). It is not recommended to match on a variable of type date, datetime, category multiple or number with decimals.
Next, complete the list of new variable names and select the appropriate data type.
Click "Continue"
You will be taken back to your dataset, which now contains the added variables. The new variables are also added to the "Variables" window.
