The time course analysis plots a time series from multiple entries where a single date variable defines the time. Your dataset must contain a date variable and a numeric variable to perform a time-course analysis.
From the analysis window, click "+ New analysis" and select "Time course" from the dropdown menu.
Select the data model in the "Parameters" card on the right side (Main level or Series level). Select the series of interest from the dropdown menu if you choose to analyse series data.
Choose the numeric variable you want to plot from the dropdown menu beneath "Numeric variable".
Under "Time Variable", define the variable describing the timeframe. This variable can be of data type categorical, numerical, date, or date-time.
Under "Time unit", choose whether you would like to plot the timeline as days, weeks, months, or years. If you are using a date-time variable, you will also be able to choose time as hours, minutes, or seconds. The cases are aggregated within the selected time window.
Under "Statistic", choose whether you would like to plot the mean or median (with or without SD, 95% CI, range, or IQR).
Under "Group", choose which variable you would like to stratify by. The grouping variable can be categorical or numeric (without decimals). When using "Single series" as the data model, grouping variables can be chosen from the main or series levels and can be categorical, numeric (without decimals), or unique.
Open the "Formatting" card on the right side to choose whether to use category values or labels, and whether to display chart legends on your figure (only applies if you have set a grouping variable for your analysis).
