To set permissions, you must be the project owner.
In the “Collaborators” window, select a collaborator
Go to the "Permission" tab
If you have defined roles for the project or template roles available, you can select one of these roles from the dropdown menu under "Role". Permissions will automatically be set according to the role's permissions.
You can also customise permissions for each collaborator individually.
General permissions
View data – when this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can view the dataset and the variables.
Edit – when this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can add new entries and edit existing entries in the dataset.
Analyse - when this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can perform analyses on the data set.
Delete - when this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can delete entries they have access to.
You can set all four levels to only concern data the collaborator has entered themselves (“Own data”), data entered by other collaborators with the same project group(s) (“Group data”), or the entire dataset without restrictions (“All data”)
Allow export of data.
When this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can export data, figures, and tables.
Allow access to restricted variables.
When this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator can see variables marked as “restricted variables” in the dataset. This access should only be given to collaborators with appropriate approval.
Allow editing of variables.
This toggle switch can only be activated for collaborators with access to “restricted variables”.
The collaborator can edit and add new variables when this toggle switch is activated.
Allow editing of project information.
When this toggle switch is activated, the collaborator will be able to edit information about the project (such as title, project number, and description)
Statuses
If your project includes statuses in the project design, the possibility to set permissions based on statuses will be available - see "Set permissions assigned to a status".
Modules
Here, you can control whether collaborators should have access to the "Project design" module and the "Collaborators" module. If these toggle switches are turned off, these modules will not be visible to the collaborator in this project.
